Bugs, Bees and Native Trees in Armagh
Three locations in Armagh Diocese have taken part in an environmental initiative which supports young people and adults in addressing issues, even in small ways, of the environment, biodiversity and climate change by planting trees and undertaking other environmental projects. Jeni joins Christian Aid activists at COP26 demonstration
Dr Jeni McAughey, a retired GP and member of St Patrick’s Parish, Whitehead, in the Diocese of Connor, joined tens of thousands of demonstrators on the streets of Glasgow on November 6 for a day of action coinciding with the UN climate summit, COP26.
Final Service for Dean Chris Peters
On Sunday, 31st October 2021, the Very Rev Chris Peters took his final service as Dean of Ross in St Fachtna’s Cathedral, Rosscarbery, before entering retirement on the following Monday.
Death of the Ven Jack Patterson
It is with sadness that we record the death of the Ven Jack (John) Patterson, former Archdeacon of Dalriada, Diocese of Connor, on November 15.
Remembrance Sunday in Cobh and Glanmire Union of Parishes
On 14th November, a Liturgy for Remembrance Sunday was held in in Christ Church, Rushbrooke, Cobh. Various veterans’ groups were in attendance with standards, including the Cobh Branch of ONE, the Royal British Legion, the Military Police Association, the Royal Naval Association, and the Royal Air Force Association.
Fun and laughter at Carnmoney Community Fellowship Club
