A new Rector has been appointed to the parish of Lisbellaw with Coolbuck in Clogher Diocese. The Revd William Jeffrey has been serving as Curate Assistant in St Mark’s Church in the Parish of Ballymacash, in the Diocese of Connor since 2018. The Revd Lindsey Farrell has been appointed to the parishes of Maguiresbridge and Derrybrusk.
Bangor Parish Church share hope with their neighbours
Congratulations to Bangor Parish Church who have spent six months knocking doors and hand–delivering 4,000 ‘boxes of hope’ across the town. The Church conceived the project, We Are With You – Hope for the Road to Recovery, as a means of bringing hope and encouragement to their neighbours. The boxes of hope contained chocolate, coffee, tea, and a leaflet produced by the church and were distributed by a team of 50 volunteers.
Service of Light remembers lives lost in pandemic
Lives lost from the Dublin and Glendalough diocesan community during the pandemic were honoured at a Service of Light which took place in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin on Remembrance Sunday (November 14). The beautiful reflective service aimed to give people space to remember their loved ones and recognised the enormous impact Covid restrictions have had on grief and mourning.A second service, this time in the Diocese of Glendalough, takes place in St Saviour’s Church in Arklow on Sunday November 28.
‘People and Places’ series continues with visit to Fermoy

Diocesan Youth Officer Hilda Connolly also recently took a group of young people from across the diocese to Kilbrittain to visit the renowned West Cork Secret Halloween Trail.
Bunclody parishioners raise €1,000 for people living in extreme poverty
A sponsored walk in the Diocese of Cashel, Ferns and Ossory has raised around €1,000 for Christian Aid’s work in some of the world’s poorest communities overseas.
New Rector for Malahide and Canon in Christ Church
There was an air of excitement and delight in St Andrew’s Church in Malahide as parishioners gathered to welcome their new Rector on Friday, November 5. Canon David Gillespie was instituted Rector of the United Parishes of Malahide,Portmarnock and St Doulagh’s by Archbishop Michael Jackson.
On the following Sunday, Canon Lesley Robinson was installed as 12th Canon to the Chapter of Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, by the cathedral’s Dean, the Very Revd Dermot Dunne.
