This parish, situated in an attractive area of West Cork, is now vacant following the retirement of the former Incumbent. The Parish is centred on the twin villages of Ballineen and Enniskeane, mid–way between Bandon and Dunmanway, in the valley of the River Bandon, County Cork. It is approximately fifty kilometres west of Cork City.
A pastor is required who will work with a loyal and supportive rural community, which has a tradition of a high level of participation in worship and parochial activities. The parish has had a remarkable commitment to missionary outreach over many years.
There are three churches (all in good repair and well–maintained with two in use each Sunday).
There are two primary schools. Parish organisations include Mothers’ Union, youth club, two home and garden clubs, Joy Club (jointly with local Methodists), and a self–governing Parent–Toddler group.
The Rectory is a beautifully–maintained house in the village of Ballineen.
