On 22 July 2021, President Higgins signed into law the Finance (Local Property Tax) (Amendment) Act 2021, enacting changes to the LPT regime previously announced by Minister Donohoe in June this year but Revenue only released final details of what is required in respect of Local Property Tax going forward in mid–September. There are a number changes that parishes should note in terms of compliance, properties being brought into the scope of LPT and valuation, and you can find further details at the following link:

There are two dates that very important; the Valuation Date of 1st November 2021 and the Return Submission Deadline Date of 7th November 2021. In order to ensure compliance, parishes must have returned the special LPT form and supporting documentation to the RCB by COB Friday, 29th October 2021. Your Diocesan Office will have forwarded you a list of properties associated with your parish and you will need to complete a form for each of these.
