The Transferor Representatives’ Council has joined with six other organisations representing the interests of schools, teachers and pupils in Northern Ireland to write to the Secretary of State to raise their shared concerns about the underfunding of education and the consequences for our children.
“The current war in Ukraine has had a devastating impact on the people of that country and being displaced as a refugee is even more difficult at Christmas time. Our schools have responded to the arrival of refugees from Ukraine by opening their doors, and we see this response every day in schools and classrooms.”
The Representative Body met on Wednesday, 14th December 2022, in an online format. Members were welcomed by the Archbishop of Armagh, who opened the meeting in prayer.
