RCB Library lantern slides: missionary work in North India
The Representative Church Body Library – which serves as the Church of Ireland’s central archive repository – holds a large collection of lantern slides from the late 19th and early 20th centuries which have been donated for safe keeping. Many have been digitized to protect their quality and can be viewed in our online photo gallery.
Throughout this week, we are highlighting five themes from our collections. Today, we focus on missionary work in North India. Tomorrow's theme will be places - a selection of views from travels in Ireland and continental Europe.
In some cases, information about the people or locations pictured in the slide is lacking. If you see anything or anyone with whom you’re familiar, and can help to verify the caption details, just leave a comment under the photo or email the Library at library@ireland.anglican.org
