Prayers for lockdown by Esther Simpson

We hope you enjoy using these beautiful Lockdown Prayers, kindly shared with us by one of our Diocesan Readers, Esther Simpson.

Esther is originally from London but has lived in Belfast since 1991. She has four children, works in a local school and was commissioned as a Diocesan Reader in 2019. Amidst all of that she finds time to write soul–nourishing material that we think you will appreciate.

Esther says: “I have always loved stories and writing since I can remember. These prayers are born out of imagining myself into Bible stories and re–imagining Bible prayers into my days. I hope and pray that they inspire you to do the same as you find your own words to speak to the God whose ears are always listening.”
