Remembrance Service pays tribute to those who served in Great War

The Annual Service of Remembrance was held in All Saints Church, Mullaghfad, near Fivmeiletown, on Sunday, 20th October at 3.00pm.

The church was almost filled to capacity with almost 100 attending, among them members of Fivemiletown Royal British Legion and Lisburn Royal British Legion.

Standards from Fivemiletown Branch of the Royal British Legion, three standards of Ulster Special Constabulary Association, and the standard of the Lisnaskea branch of the Ulster Defence Regimental Association were carried into the church for the service which also paid tribute to the 25 men from Mullaghfad Parish who served in the Great War of 1914–1918, and two members of the Ulster Special Constabulary killed on duty in 1921.

Following the service, members of the congregation were able to chat in the bright and warm sunshine, reminiscing and enjoying a beautiful evening.
