Sun shines on Connor youth weekend

The sun shone on more than 110 young people and youth leaders who all had a fantastic time at the annual ‘Connor takes the Castle’ weekend.

The Archdeacon of Belfast, the Ven George Davision, tried his hand at soft arrow combat during the Connor youth weekend at Castlewellan Castle.

The diocesan discipleship weekend for young people aged 11–18 took place at Castlewellan Castle from September 6–8.

Connor Youth Council put together a busy programme which included sessions led by The Big House; worship; small group time as well as outdoor activities, including Soft Arrow Combat and Salt Factory Sports on the Saturday afternoon slot.

Activities also included a late night lake walk, discussion groups, the ever–popular Connor’s Got Talent, and lots of food and praise.
