Bishop Harold Miller and Presbyterian Moderator highlight plastic pollution in radio interview

Bishop Harold Miller and the Presbyterian Moderator, the Rt Revd Charles McMullen, have appeared together on Sunday Sequence talking about the scourge of plastic pollution.

Both leaders described their efforts to live plastic–free and Bishop Harold highlighted the Rubbish Campaign from international relief and development agency Tearfund. The bishop is a Tearfund UK ambassador and board member.

It is estimated that someone dies every 30 seconds due to plastic pollution. The finding was revealed in a recent report called No Time to Waste: Tackling the Plastic Pollution Crisis Before It’s Too Late from Tearfund in collaboration with conservation charity Fauna & Flora International (FFI), the Institute of Development Studies and waste management charity WasteAid.

Listen to the interview on BBC radio Ulster at this link. The segment begins at 08:38 minutes.
