Pilgrimage from St Senan’s, Inniscarra, County Cork to Scattery Island

This year marks the 200th anniversary of St Senan’s Church, Inniscarra, in the River Lee valley, County Cork.

Recently, as part of the bicentenary celebrations the parish went on pilgrimage to Scattery Island led by the Reverend Robert Ferris.  St Senan settled on Scattery Island in the sixth century.

It was a lovely day trip to a very special place – a chance to learn, pray,  have fun and celebrate Holy Communion together on the island.

A selection of photos from the pilgrimage is available online here.
