Eco–Congregation Ireland’s latest newsletter is now available, highlighting examples of environmental projects undertaken by churches across the island of Ireland.

This edition highlights the Awareness Certificate and Endeavour Certificate, which can be awarded to parishes in their journey towards a final Eco–Congregation Ireland award, and also Actions to Help Pollinators – a resource with 24 practical actions that any parish can take to help bees living within its land.  Limerick and Killaloe’s ecumenical mission evening on stewardship (coming up on 16th October) and the Revd Trevor Sargent’s ecological notes – on driving and carbon emissions and living with less plastic – are also featured.

Eco–Congregation Ireland is an initiative of the Irish Inter Church Meeting, and includes members from the Roman Catholic Church, Church of Ireland, Presbyterian Church, Methodist Church and Religious Society of Friends.  Its Chair, the Revd Andrew Orr, has also contributed to a new video to promote the Church of Ireland’s Environmental Charter.
