With drought or near–drought conditions set to continue across the country, our thoughts once again turn to members of the farming community. With Met Éireann forecasting no rain for the coming week, the hot dry conditions and soil moisture levels are having a major impact on daily grass growth on many farms, resulting in farmers struggling to feed their animals again.

Archbishop Michael Jackson is urging prayers for all members of the farming community who are facing hardship, whether it be in trying to feed their livestock or grow their crops.
