Workshop on recycling in Carrigaline Church of Ireland Eco–Congregation

Carrigaline Union of Parishes in the Diocese of Cork is an Eco–Congregation and following on from this understanding of living lightly on the earth, the parishioners were delighted, on Monday 28th May, to host a workshop on recycling.

Dan Boyle, an Ambassador with VOICE (the Recycling Ambassador Programme is a VOICE initiative funded by the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment, and the Regional Waste Management Offices), demonstrated how to recycle our ordinary everyday items, helping to clear up some of the confusions around the area of waste management. He spoke also about the necessity to reduce, reuse and repair before we get to the stage of ‘recycling’. It was a very useful talk with many tips. More details are on the VOICE website.
