Committee Members Elected at General Synod 2018

Motions on the membership of a number of committees have been passed by members of General Synod.

The elected members of the Standing Orders Committee are: The Honorary Secretaries, Ms Yvonne Blennerhasset and Rev Canon Shane Forster.

The elected members of the Petitions Committee are: The Honorary Secretaries, Mrs Pauline High and Canon Graham Richards.

The elected members of the Elections Committee are: The Honorary Secretaries, Rev Canon Simon Doogan and Canon Graham Richards.

The elected members of the Record Committee are: The Honorary Secretaries, Mrs Yvonne Blennerhasset. Canon Graham Richards and Ven Leslie Stevenson.

The elected members of the Bills Committee are: The Rt Rev Michael Burrows, Bishop of Cashel, Ferns and Ossory. Ven George Davison, Rev Stephen Farrell, Rev Barry Forde. Mrs Ethne Harkness, Canon Lady Sheil, The Honourable Mrs Justice Catherine McGuinness (consultant), The Assessor (ex–officio). The Rt Revd Paul Colton, who has stood down from the Bills Committee, was thanked for the many years he had devoted to the committee.

The elected members of the Legislation Committee are: The Rt Rev Dr Kenneth Kearon, the Bishop of Limerick and Killaloe, Ven George Davison, The Honourable Mrs Justice Catherine McGuinness, Rev Canon Simon Doogan, Ms Claire Jackson and Rev Barry Forde.
