Ballyclare family weekend in Kilbroney
Parishioners from the United Parish of Christ Church and St John’s, Ballyclare, enjoyed a Family Weekend at the Kilbroney Centre, Rostrevor.
Teaching was led by the Rev Dr Heather Morris, Methodist Church in Ireland Home Missions Secretary. Heather spoke on the theme ‘We are family’.
Christina Baillie, Connor Diocesan Youth Officer, led the programme for young people, while Diocesan Children’s Project Development Officer Jill Hamilton organised a programme for the children.
Ian Hannah, Worship Director for Portstewart Baptist Church, led the worship and former Dean of Connor, the Very Rev John Bond, a previous rector of the United Parish, led Sunday morning’s Family Communion.
The rector, the Rev Jonny Campbell–Smyth, thanked all who had helped to lead the weekend, and all the families who came along to ‘rest, and reflect on what God has been doing in you, and what he wants to now do through you.’
