New Rector announced for Clogher Cathedral Group of Parishes

The new Rector of the Clogher Cathedral Group of Parishes is to be the Revd Olivia Downey.

The announcement has been made in each of the churches within the Group.

Ms Downey is currently Curate Assistant in both Clogher Cathedral Group of Parishes and St. Macartin’s Cathedral, Enniskillen.

A native of Aghadrumsee Parish in Clogher Diocese, Revd Downey trained and became a senior cardiology nurse in England before returning to Northern Ireland to work at Belfast City Hospital.

She subsequently trained for ministry in the Church of Ireland, attending the Theological Institute, Dublin after which she served as Deacon in Enniskillen Cathedral. She was ordained as a Curate Assistant to serve in both Enniskillen Cathedral and the Clogher Cathedral Group of Parishes, a role she will continue to do until her institution as Rector.

A date for the Service of Institution will be arranged at a later date.
