Canon Stephen Lowry appointed Area Dean of Dufferin

Bishop Harold Miller has appointed Canon Stephen Lowry to be Area Dean of Dufferin. Stephen has served as rector of Killaney and Carryduff since 2013, and before this was rector and Dean of Dromore Cathedral.

Speaking of his new role, Stephen said: “In local church ministry it is all too easy to become isolated. I think the Area Deanery structure can help local clergy overcome that isolation and, on a more positive note, share their hopes and dreams together in prayer with colleagues.

“I am glad to take up this role and look forward to meeting with the deanery again shortly.”
