Canon Horace McKinley and the Revd Graham Stockdale on RTE’s Leap of Faith

The Revd Graham Stockdale, Michael Comyn and Canon Horace McKinley.

On The Leap of Faith, tonight (Friday February 9) Michael Comyn meets two men whose lives intertwine in more ways than one. Both are clergymen, both fathers to international rugby players and both have lives dedicated to faith and family. He meets Canon Horace McKinley, Rector of Whitechurch parish in Dublin and father of Ian McKinley who plays international rugby for Italy.

He also meets the Reverend Graham Stockdale who balances two contrasting chaplaincy jobs, one at Southern Area Hospice Services in Newry and the other at Maghaberry and Hydebank prisons in Northern Ireland. He is the father of Jacob Stockdale, Irish international rugby player.

Both men discover, in this 30–minute conversation how their shared passions for faith, family and rugby are similar even though this is the first time they have met.

The Leap of Faith airs at 10pm each Friday on RTE Radio 1. You can listen back afterwards at www.rte.ie/radio1/the–leap–of–faith
