News from Eco–Congregation Ireland
The new edition of the Eco–Congregation Ireland newsletter highlights events and suggested activities to help parishes take a greater interest in the environment.
St James Church of Ireland, Crinken, and St Anne’s Catholic Parish have received an Eco–Congregation Award for promoting environmental awareness through Shankill Action for a Green Earth (SAGE). Other initiatives include New Year eco–tips produced by parishioners in Nun’s Cross, Killiskey, and the #Jars4Journeys project to encourage carbon–free journeys over Lent and raise funds for communities most affected by climate change. A press release on #Jars4Journeys is available here and the following article from the Representative Church Body outlines its current initiatives to help tackle climate change: http://bit.ly/2DKHVCO
