News from Eco–Congregation Ireland
The September edition of the Eco–Congregation Ireland newsletter highlights events and suggested activities to help parishes take a greater interest in the environment.
Eco–Congregation has recently made a submission to the Citizens’ Assembly, in the Republic of Ireland, on making Ireland a leader in tackling climate change. Other news items include a festival of flowers and animal blessing service at Killiskey Parish Church and a presentation to the Biblical Association for the Church of Ireland on the fifth Anglican Mark of Mission – to ‘sustain and renew the life of the Earth’.
Eco–Congregation Ireland is an initiative of the Irish Inter Church Meeting, and includes members from the Roman Catholic Church, Church of Ireland, Presbyterian Church, Methodist Church and Religious Society of Friends.
