Church of Ireland Charity Registration and Reporting Seminars (RI)

The Representative Church Body, in conjunction with Ecclesiastical Insurance Ireland, will be hosting three Charity Information Seminars in the venues below on the dates identified. A warm invitation is extended to members of the clergy and select vestries across the country.

Information will cover registration, reporting and insurance matters relating to the requirement to register under the Charities Act 2009. Members of the clergy, Select Vestry Treasurers and Secretaries in particular should benefit from the seminars. The seminars will be useful to those already registered and to those parishes that will be applying for registration when called forward by the Charities Regulatory Authority.

Presenting on the evening will be: Mr John Farrelly, CEO of the Charities Regulatory Authority; Mr David Ritchie, Chief Officer & Secretary General of the Representative Body of the Church of Ireland; Mrs Kate Williams, Head of Finance of the Representative Body; Mrs Janet Maxwell, Head of Synod Services, and Mr Scott Hayes, Head of Relationship Management at Ecclesiastical Insurance Ireland. There will be an opportunity for a Q&A session.

Seminar dates and locations 

21st September, 6.30–9.00p.m. in the Bush Hotel, Carrick on Shannon, Main St, Co. Leitrim

2nd October, 6.30–9.00p.m. in the Charleville Park Hotel, Limerick Rd, Rathgoggan North, Charleville, Co. Cork.

23rd October, 6.30–9.00p.m. in the Clarion Hotel, Fonthill Road, Liffey Valley, Dublin 22.
