Greetings of the Irish Council of Churches Brought to Synod
Rt. Rev. Chris Wilson, Moderator of the Non Subscribing Presbyterian Church of Ireland, representing the Irish Council of Churches, brought greetings of the ICC to Synod this morning (Friday May 5) and commended the work of Synod. He paid tribute to the work of Bishop John McDowell, president of ICC, working with the general secretary.
He said the ICC worked closely with many churches and he said that many benefited from the Church of Ireland being both catholic and reformed and said that the friendship and encouragement of the Church of Ireland was greatly appreciated.
