Martyn Payne from Bible Reading Fellowship recently led an inspiring series of workshops for clergy and Sunday school leaders on storytelling and all–age worship.

Six events took place in Dublin, Jordanstown, Belfast and Omagh run by the Church of Ireland Board of Education in conjunction with the Children’s Ministry Network and the Sunday School Society for Ireland.

In the storytelling session, Martyn led an interactive seminar bringing the art of telling stories alive. Participants came away encouraged and enthusiastic for their work with children. In the all–age worship sessions, Martyn challenged us to look at how children are included in the whole Church and what steps can we make church more inter–generational.

The Revd Peter Ferguson, Rector of Castlederg, commented: ‘This has been a brilliant encouragement and start to our work with children this term.’  Dr Peter Hamill, from the Board of Education, added: ‘Martyn brought many years of experience working with children and yet a fresh approach to our work among children.’
