Anglican Consultative Council – looking ahead to 2026

Archbishop John McDowell has delivered a video message at the close of the 18th meeting of the Anglican Consultative Council (ACC–18), which was held in Accra, Ghana, over the last week.  The Church of Ireland looks forward to warmly welcoming ACC–19 to Ireland in 2026.

The ACC’s role is to facilitate the co–operative work of the churches of the Anglican Communion, exchange information between the provinces and other member churches, and help to co–ordinate common action.  It advises on the organisation and structures of the Communion, and seeks to develop common policies with respect to the world mission of the Church, including ecumenical matters.  To find out more about ACC–18, please visit its website: https://acc18.org
