Pioneer Ministry launched in National Cathedral
Pioneer Ministry in the Church of Ireland was formally launched in our National Cathedral – St Patrick’s, Dublin – on Sunday afternoon, 5th February 2023. In the service of Choral Evensong, the Pioneer Ministry Leadership Team was commissioned by Archbishops John McDowell and Michael Jackson, and the preacher was the Archbishop of Wales, the Most Revd Andy John, Archbishop of Wales. A full report will follow shortly.
A selection of photos from yesterday’s service is available below or at this link in our online photo gallery: https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjAr9ZV

In advance of the service, Bishop Patrick Rooke, who was involved in the journey of Pioneer Ministry over the last 10 years, was interviewed by the Revd Rob Jones, who was commissioned on Sunday as National Director. Their interview, which covers a brief history and background for the initiative, can be played back here.
