Palm Sunday procession in Clogher Diocese

Palm Sunday was marked in Enniskillen on Sunday with a procession led by a donkey.

Tom, the donkey and its handler, Matthew Hall, led the procession from the Cathedral Hall to St Macartin’s Cathedral before the Palm Sunday service.

Following behind was Dean Kenneth Hall who was joined by the Curate, the Revd Chris West, and Parish Reader, Scott Elliott, as well as the organist and choir members and many of the members of the congregation waving palm branches.

The Palm Sunday service was the first service held in the Cathedral following extensive repairs and repainting carried out over the past few months.

The choir and congregation sang the hymns, “Hosanna, Hosanna,” “Ride on, ride on in majesty,” “All glory, laud and honour”, and “Blessed city, heavenly Salem.” The organist was Mr Glenn Moore.
