Laurence Bellew releases his first single

Congratulations to Laurence Bellew, who has just released his first single, ‘Coming Home’. Laurence is Pioneer Evangelist at the Newry Centre of Mission which is a collaboration between the diocese and Church Army.



Royal British Legion honours Donaghmore parishioner

A Donegal Church of Ireland parishioner – Mrs Pearl Barnett – was presented with one of the Royal British Legion Republic of Ireland’s highest honours, on Sunday 20th February, when her fundraising efforts on behalf of the charity – spanning over half a century – were recognised in her local church in Castlefinn.

New Dean of Cashel installed

The Very Revd James Mulhall was installed as Dean of Cashel and instituted Rector of Cashel Union of Parishes at a special service in the Cathedral Church of St John the Baptist and St Patrick’s Rock, Cashel, on Sunday, 13th February. The new Dean is from a farming background in County Laois and, most recently, was Priest–in–Charge of Kells Union of Parishes with Inistioge as well as Children’s Ministry Officer and Safeguarding Trust officer in the Diocese of Cashel, Ferns and Ossory.

Pupils donate for Valentine’s Day

For the eighth year in a row, the pupils of St Mary’s National School, Carrigaline, have collected items to be delivered to Cork Penny Dinners on St Valentine’s Day.


New Rector for Garrison

The Bishop of Clogher, the Right Revd Dr Ian Ellis, has appointed the Revd Rebecca Guildea as Rector of the Garrison Group of Parishes.



Commission writes to Cashel, Ferns and Ossory parishes


The Diocesan Review Commission is making plans to meet with parishioners in all 32 cures in Cashel, Ferns and Ossory about how they see their future.
