Pet Blessing Service in Castlerock

Around 20 new faces turned up at Christ Church, Castlerock on Sunday afternoon (17th October) for a service that was something of a pet project for the local Rector.

The Rev Chris MacBruithin had invited pet owners to come along to the parish’s first Pet Blessing Service. With a few minutes to go, the Rector wasn’t quite sure what kind of response his invitation might elicit but he needn’t have worried. The faithful – those on two feet and on four – justified his confidence in the idea.
