Further Desk Booking Slots at the RCB Library Available – Booking to December 2021 Goes Live Tomorrow (Friday 22nd October 2021, at 9am)

As the RCB Library continues to reopen gradually to the public, additional slots for Reading Room desks to consult archives and manuscripts will become available to book from tomorrow (Friday 22nd October) at 9am.

Additional booking slots on Monday and Friday mornings have been added to those already available to book on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and the booking period on offer will cover Tuesday 26th October to Friday 17th December inclusive.

As previously advised, it is no longer possible to facilitate unscheduled visitors, and to avoid any disappointment, visitors wishing to view archives and manuscripts, or spend time reading from the printed collection, must have a pre–booked seat in the reading room in advance of their visit, through a new online booking system available here: https://www.supersaas.co.uk/schedule/RCB_Library/Book_a_Reading_Desk

Visitors may reserve either a morning slot (10am–12.30pm) or afternoon slot (2.00pm–4.30pm) to secure access to the Reading Room.  Booking for the entire period between now and the end of 2021 opens on Friday 22nd October at 9am.

As the whole process is under review, there is no Waiting List option during this period.

There is no need to reserve a desk if just borrowing or returning books and Thursdays continue to be dedicated for internal access only by Students at CITI and Members of the Library.

These arrangements are under continual review. If you need any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to email us at libman@rcbcoi.org
