Liturgical Advisory Committee

News from Liturgical Advisory Committee

The 268th meeting of the Liturgical Advisory Committee took place via Zoom on Friday, 10th September 2021.

The LAC discussed a number of ongoing items of business, including the publication of a hard copy of Collects of the Word, and the imminent publication of Liturgical Resources for use in the event of sudden or unexpected death.

The Committee also discussed liturgical resources which have recently been produced for use during the Pandemic – A Service of Light remembering the impact of the pandemic, and a Service of Lamentation and Hope for particular use with children.

It is intended that the LAC will issue a press release within the next 4–6 weeks to give guidance around an anomaly in the Table of Readings for Remembrance Sunday.

It is hoped that the next meeting of the LAC will be the annual residential meeting, to take place in November.  This will be the first time the Committee has met in person since before the pandemic.
