News from Eco–Congregation Ireland

Eco–Congregation Ireland’s latest newsletter is now available, highlighting examples of environmental projects undertaken by churches across the island of Ireland.

This features resources for the Season of Creation and Climate Sunday (including a video commissioned by our Church and Society Commission), walks for water organised to raise funds for people supported by Christian Aid in St Gall’s Carnalea, St John’s Orangefield, and Annahilt parishes, in the Diocese of Down and Dromore, a similar walk by pupils of the Model School, Dunmanway, in Cork, Cloyne and Ross, and a mural made of plastic bottle tops at Ballymoney National School, also in County Cork.  Reports from parish projects in Rathfarnham, Carrigaline and Westport are also included.

Eco–Congregation Ireland is an initiative of the Irish Inter Church Meeting, and includes members from the Roman Catholic Church, Church of Ireland, Presbyterian Church, Methodist Church, and Religious Society of Friends.
