Archive of the Month forms part of Irish News centenary coverage
Thank you to the Irish News for including our Archive of the Month article – written by Professor Brian Walker – as part of its coverage of Northern Ireland’s centenary.
The piece picks up on themes from the time as recorded in the archives of the Church of Ireland Gazette – now a monthly full colour magazine – with a fully digitised archive going back to its foundation in 1856.
Archives of the Month are prepared by the staff of the Representative Church Body Library in Dublin – our central library and repository for archives.
