Property update: opportunities for support
The following information, which may be helpful for those involved in managing church properties in Northern Ireland has been received from the National Churches Trust. Information on support with property management across the island is available here in Parish Resources.
Grants for church buildings
The Cornerstone Grants programme offers grants of between £10,000 and £50,000 towards the cost of major urgent structural repair projects as well as projects that introduce kitchens and accessible toilets to enable increased community use.
Application deadline: Monday, 5th July 2021.

The Foundation Grants programme offers small grants of between £500 and £5,000 towards urgent maintenance works and small repairs identified as high priority within a Quinquennial Inspection or Survey report. Foundation applications from Northern Ireland will be processed through the Treasure Ireland grant programme. The trust also offers grants for small investigative works and surveys through the Gateway grant programme.

UK Church Architecture Awards 2021
Has your church had alterations or a rebuild in the last three years?
Please enter your new church buildings and conservation projects for the 2021 UK Church Architecture Awards. There is also an award for the best young church architect. Schemes completed in the last three years can be nominated.
Nominating a project can be done by architects, surveyors and churches themselves and can be submitted online. The closing date is Monday, 28th June.
