A tour of the Church of Ireland in photos – Day 2
The 2021 meeting of our General Synod was originally due to take place this week, from Thursday to Saturday, but has subsequently been moved to Thursday, 30th September, to Saturday, 2nd October, when it will again meet online.
In its place, over the next few days, photos from around the Church will be shared on our news pages to give readers a broader picture of the mission and ministry of the Church of Ireland across our island. Today, we bring you views from the following three dioceses, and a brief summary of each one.
Just click on each photo below and select the arrow on the right hand side of the first photo to keep browsing. We hope you enjoy them, and feel free to visit our Flickr page to browse our full collection.
The Diocese of Connor takes in a stretch of Northern Ireland’s North Coast, the rest of Co. Antrim, and the city of Belfast west of the River Lagan.
The Diocese of Cork, Cloyne and Ross is the most southerly diocese of the Church of Ireland.
The Diocese of Derry and Raphoe includes most of two counties (Donegal and Londonderry) on either side of the border, in the north–west of the island, and also covers Omagh and Strabane in Co. Tyrone.
