Churches feature in new Health Hub app

The Larder at St Christopher’s, Mount Merrion Church and Mount Merrion’s Community Health and Fitness Hub are all featured in the recently launched Health Hub East Belfast smartphone app.

The app is a community guide created by and for the people of East Belfast to help those in need access essential information and services across a wide range of issues, including addiction, mental health and poverty.

In the app itself there are video contributions from each group stating the help they provide. Louise Ferguson, Community Co–ordinator at The Larder, said: “In a moment of crisis, it can be very overwhelming to know where to turn to and something like this app will really make a huge difference to people in a time of crisis. It’s easily accessible, it’s easy to navigate and will really help people to know where to turn.”

Download for free today by searching ‘Health Hub East Belfast’ in the App Store or Google Play.

East Belfast Community Development Association is an umbrella organisation that works to support community development in East Belfast by providing community groups with support, resources, and capacity building programmes. Together with local organisations and the Executive Office, they created the Health Hub East Belfast smartphone app.
