Video competition for new Safeguarding website
Closing date: Friday, 13th November 2020
To celebrate the launch of our new Safeguarding website, parishes and youth groups are invited to take part in a competition to create a short video on ‘Why Safeguarding is Important’. Videos should be submitted by 5pm on Friday, 13th November. The new website is available at https://safeguarding.ireland.anglican.org
Thank you for your interest in our new website competition.
The competition is an exciting opportunity for parishes/youth groups and individuals from the Church of Ireland to spread the word about the importance of safeguarding and/or what this means to you. This is a fantastic way to showcase your creativity and imagination.
Rules
– Parental consent required for entrants under the age of 18 and should be compliant with existing safeguarding policies. More information is available here
– The video should be a minimum of 1 minute and a maximum of 2 minutes long.
– It should include references to child and adult safeguarding.
– Videos will be judged on creativity, the information communicated and how engaging they are.
– The video content can be live action or animated.
– The video will be displayed on the new Safeguarding website, the Church of Ireland website and all our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) and it can be liked, shared and promoted from there.
– Your video must not infringe any third party copyright or trademark, or violate the rights of any person or entity.
– Videos must be appropriate for viewing by the general public. Your video may not contain material that is obscene, defamatory, libellous, threatening, pornographic, offensive, or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, gives rise to civil liability, or violates any law (including, without limitation, the privacy or publicity rights of any individual whose likeness appears in the video).
– Please film the video in landscape mode.
– Please submit, through a parental or carers’ mobile or email if the entrant is aged under 18, via WhatsApp to 00 353 872 853 696 or by sending a link to cpori@ireland.anglican.org by Friday 13th November at 5pm.
Prizes
Prizes have been very generously provided by Ecclesiastical Insurance. The videos will be judged by a panel of judges which will include children.
