Thursdays are set aside for Members to “Browse and Borrow” (at two time slots, morning and afternoon, 9.30am–12.30pm and 2.00pm–4.30pm). This is exclusively for Members only to gain access to the printed collections and interact again within the Library building.
Click and Collect remains in place for those unable to travel to the Library for printed materials – see https://www.ireland.anglican.org/about/rcb-library/catalogues/click-and-collect
Additionally, for the general public, as it is no longer possible to facilitate unscheduled visitors, and to avoid any disappointment, visitors wishing to view archives and manuscripts, or spend time reading from the printed collection, must have a pre–booked seat in the reading room in advance of their visit, through a new online booking system. Further information about the Booking System is provided here https://www.ireland.anglican.org/about/rcb-library/desk-reservation-system
Before access to the Reading Room, Visitors must confirm they have read the Library Regulations. Please click here to read the Regulations for Readers of Archives and Manuscripts.
These arrangements are under continual review. If you need any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Membership of the Library is open to laity as well as clergy: the completion of an application form signed by an approved referee, and the payment of the subscription (currently €5.00 per year or €40.00 for life) entitles members to borrow books.
Books can be sent by post, the borrower being responsible for all postage involved.
