Library Opening Hours

Library Opening Hours

The Library is open from 10.00 am to 4.15 pm Tuesday to Thursday, with the Library closing for lunch from 12.45pm to 1.30pm. Members may visit to read, browse, borrow, and return print items. The library is temporarily closed to all members of the public on Mondays and Fridays.

Additionally, for the general public, as it is no longer possible to facilitate unscheduled visitors, and to avoid any disappointment, visitors wishing to view archives and manuscripts must have a pre–booked seat in the reading room in advance of their visit, through a new online booking system. Further information about the Booking System is provided here

Slots for booking Reading Desks for any given month will be released on the last Friday of the previous month. To see available slots, see here

Membership

Membership of the Library is open to laity as well as clergy: the completion of an application form signed by an approved referee, and the payment of the subscription (currently €5.00 per year or €40.00 for life) entitles members to borrow books.

Books can be sent by post, the borrower being responsible for all postage involved.
