Synod Services & Communications

Main role and functions (Synod Services)

  • Management and delivery of central office services to the General Synod, General Synod Board of Education, RCB and other reporting committees and boards
  • Arrangements for meetings of General Synod, agenda preparation, resolutions, minutes and official records
  • Organisation of meetings of Standing Committee and provision of support to Synod committees, boards and commissions.
  • Provision of research
  • Liaison with inter Church and Anglican bodies e.g., the Anglican Consultative Council
  • Budget preparation for Synod and related committees
  • Monitoring legislative and political developments in association with the Hon Secretaries of General Synod and committee personnel
  • Co–ordination between and with the House of Bishops, Standing Committee, Boards of Education and the RCB
