ST. PATRICK'S CHAPTER ELECTS TWO NEW CANONS
| The Church of Ireland today announced the election of two new canons to
the Chapter of St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin.
Rev Dr Ian Ellis, Rector of St John’s Parish Church, Newcastle, Co. Down is elected to be Prebendary of Newcastle. Rev Dr Jonathan Barry, Rector of St Mary’s Parish Church, Comber, Co. Down is elected to be Prebendary of St Audoen. Dr Ellis has been Rector of St John’s since 1993. He was recently appointed Editor of the Church of Ireland Gazette and is a well known writer and broadcaster. Dr Barry has been Rector of St Mary’s since 1985 and is a noted spokesman on marriage and the family. |
