STANDING COMMITTEE NEWSFrom the meeting of 21 November 2000 The Civic Forum The Churches' Consortium has ratified nominations to the Civic Forum, which have been accepted by the First Minister and the Deputy First Minister. The five representatives from the Churches on the Civic Forum are as follows:
General Synod 2002 The meeting of the General Synod in 2002 will be held on 14, 15 and 16 May in the Stillorgan Park Hotel Conference Centre, Dublin. Inter-church business The following reports were noted by the Standing Committee:
Priorities Fund The Standing Committee approved a recommendation of the Priorities Fund to set aside £100,000 for a special project/s over the next 3 years (2001-2004), under the general title RECONCILIATION AND OUTREACH. The applications for this project/s are to be separate from the normal process in the Fund, with an end of February 2001 deadline.
