General Synod ends

The General Synod of the Church of Ireland for the year 2000 ended
yesterday (Thursday 17th May).
During the three days of the Synod, the Synod web site (http://synod.ireland.anglican.org)
received 1990 visitors, recording 5392 page views and 66,925
hits on the server.
Live broadcasts were made of the Synod proceedings during the time of
its deliberations. These were available on the Internet using a
RealAudio feed provided through the good offices of Multimedia Solutions
Ltd., Dublin (http://www.multimedia.ie) using RealAudio servers
provided by Servecast, Dublin (http://www.servecast.com).
The Synod web site will be left open for reference purposes. It
contains copies of the reports presented at Synod, a selection of the
speeches made, press releases, news items and a gallery of photographs
of Synod attendees and support staff.

address for the Standing Committee Report can also be found on the
